There is a wide swath of rafting trips, from calm paddling waters to rushing rivers for advanced rafters – Vancouver Island truly has it all for your rafting vacation.

Campbell River

This designated BC Heritage River offers the easiest river rafting experience and is a fine introduction to river rafting on Vancouver Island. The Campbell River possesses crystal clear waters that also provide a chance to snorkel with salmon that swim up river to spawning grounds.

Book Campbell River rafting trips for late April to early October.

Oyster River

This novice paddle trip on the Class 2 Oyster River is another excellent introduction to rafting for all ages. It’s also great for families that do not  have the time for a full day trip. The Oyster River is 20 minutes from Campbell River and best rafted during May, June and early July.

Nimpkish River

The Nimpkish River is the biggest volume river on Vancouver Island, and features class 2-4 rapids, naturally beautiful scenery, wildlife sightings (black bear, elk, deer and eagles), swimming, cliff jumping and kayaking.
