Under your guide’s expert direction you will travel in 6 to 10 passenger, self-bailing rafts through calm stretches and lively rapids. No experience is needed, just get ready to have fun and view the beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
SUNWAPTA RIVER – FUN WHITE WATER RAPIDS
‘Sunwapta’ is the Stoney Indian term for ‘turbulent river’ and this river lives up to its name. With a steep gradient and numerous rapids this is Jasper’s wild water rollercoaster ride. The only class III located fully within Jasper National Park, it offers spectacular scenery and good wildlife opportunities.
These trips do not require any previous experience and are suited for physically active individuals who weigh 90 pounds (41 kgs) or more, who are looking for an exhilarating ride.
FRASER RIVER – CLASS 3 WHITE WATER RAFTING
From a launching point in the shadow of the Mt. Robson, the mighty Fraser River offers up turbulent rapids and swirling eddies bound to soak every white water rafter! After a short portage around thundering Rearguard Falls rafters continue down the river, splashing through large rapids dwarfed by steep canyon walls.
