White water rafting - Alberta, Canada

ALBERTA, CANADA – A morning whitewater rafting trip combined with an afternoon horseback riding trip is a popular vacation package among couples in Alberta, Canada. Both offer great chances to see Canada’s wildlife such as bald eagles, bears, and mountain goats on your vacation.

Combination packages in Alberta usually feature rafting on the Kicking Horse River. With its glacier-fed rapids that run past the town of Field, and westward toward the town of Golden and the Columbia River, it increases its strength to help make it the perfect spot for world-class whitewater rafting in Canada (Travel only 30 minutes from Field on the Trans Canada Highway to access premier river rafting in the Canadian Rockies).

After a ride along the Kicking Horse River, hop on an actual horse for a leisurely evening stroll along a horse trail ride at the base of Sulphur Mountain. During the summer months, rafting-horseback riding trips are very popular (of if you aren’t into the thrills of rafting, take a scenic float down the river guided by professionals). Either way, you will see some of the most spectacular scenic beauty Canada has to offer.

Some packages include lunch and dinner, as well as a pass to the Banff Upper Hot Springs, along with the rafting and horseback riding trips. Note that participants generally must be 12 years or older, and weigh more than 90 pounds.
